Keep up with your Facebook Friends Status with RSS

September 17, 2008 21:25 by Marc in Uncategorized

One of the cool things about Facebook is you are able to see your friend status updates, when you log in. If you use RSS, you can also subscribe to their Status Updates, so they appear in your RSS reader on a daily basis.

To do this:

  1. Log into your Facebook account
  2. Go to http://www.new.facebook.com/friends/?status=
  3. Click on the RSS Icon in “Friends’ Status Feed” on the Left hand side of the page

This will add your friends status updates to your RSS reader :)

Fake Tilt Shift Photography

September 7, 2008 13:26 by Marc in Uncategorized

I have been playing around more and more with my camera and spending more and more time on flickr and this weekend I came across Tilt-Shift Photography.
This is an effect of taking a normal photo and converting it into a photo that looks like a scene from mini town, where everything looks miniaturized.

There are 2 ways to do this. Either you can buy an expensive lens for your camera, or you can “fake it” and use good old photoshop. I went the latter for obvious reasons :)
And this is what I managed to do. I don’t think its to bad. Check out my Flickr photo stream for a couple more I tried and lemme know what you think.

Springleap T-Shirt – e Sempowenis

September 5, 2008 09:19 by Marc in Uncategorized

The August Springleap winner was announced a few days ago, and the winner, WolFox, came up with what I think is the best T-Shirt design I have ever seen.

The e Sempowenis is the South African version of the ever popular Simpsons family from springfield. I have been a huge fan of the Simpsons since episode 1, so it was only right I ordered myself one of these awesome T-shirts.

Well done to WolFox for the great desgin. If you wan’t to order one get over to the Springleap site quick. Stocks are limited !!
